Sharon H. Thompson

Family will visit with friends on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 2:00 until 3:00 in the afternoon at Chapel of Pines Mausoleum in Parkhill Cemetery with a service to begin at 3:00. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Columbus Hospice, Valley Rescue Mission, or The Salvation Army in Sharon’s memory.

Sharon was born on September 15, 1950 in Columbus, Georgia to the late G. T. Hamilton and Dorothy Whitaker Hamilton. She was Medical Group Manager for Johnson Family Practice for many years. Sharon attended Cascade Hills Church and enjoyed reading her devotionals and Bible, attending Walking Club with friends, Bingo, and spending time with loved ones. One of Sharon’s favorite things was listening to her daughter read books to her. Other than her parents Sharon is also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Frances McClung. She lives on through her daughter, Jill A. Thompson and her sister, Ilona H. Neaves and her husband, Clark and her sister, Teri Peck and her husband, Bill; along with several nieces and nephews.
