Shirley Sue Jordan Pelham

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, September 23, 2010 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA. 31907. Interment to follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Ms. Pelham was born in Blue Springs, AL. on January 6, 1939 to the late George Rufus Jordan and Susie Moss Jordan. She has lived in Columbus for most of her life and attended Kirkland Memorial Baptist Church. She retired from Skinner's Furniture where she worked as a Bookkeeper. Her husband William Grady Pelham and a brother, Johnny J. Jordan preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, William G. "Bill" Pelham, Jr. and wife Carol of Columbus, Michael D. Pelham and wife Donna of Cataula, Ga. and Tracy S. Odom and husband Beau of Richton, MS, two brothers, A.J. "Jack" Jordan and wife Mary of Eufaula, Al and James M. "Pete" Cameron of Santa Rosa, CA., four grandchildren, Tori Pelham Watson (Shane), Taryn Pelham Pratt (Michael), Tiffany S. Odom and Amber N. Odom, and three great grandchildren, Michael Grady Watson, Kamdyn A. Pratt and Michael Kage Pratt and a very special life time best friend, Helen Jones.
