Ted Jankiewicz

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday October 12, 2011 at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Frank Patterson officiating according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907. Burial will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. A Rosary will be said 6:00 p.m. Tuesday October 11, 2011 at the funeral home with visitation to follow at the conclusion of the Rosary. Active pallbearers will be Randy Mathis, Clarence Moore, Cory Mathis, Ryan Mathis, Shaun Jankiewicz and James Sweeney III.

Mr. Jankiewicz was born October 3, 1937 in Pacht, Poland son of the late Walter Jankiewicz and Valeria Jaros Jankiewicz and he was also preceded in death by his sister, Regina Jankiewicz. He was an account executive with AFLAC with 32 years of faithful service retiring in 2002. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of St. Anne Catholic Church and former member of Holy Family Catholic Church and has lived in the community for 60 years.

Survivors include his wife Cynthia Jankiewicz , his 2 daughters, Katrina Curenton and her husband Glen , Stasia Rutland and her husband Michael all of Columbus, GA, his son, Joshua Jankiewicz and his wife Rene of Tacoma, WA, a brother, Steve Jankiewicz of Columbus, GA, 7 grandchildren, Clarence Moore, Portia Sweeney, Dylan Jankiewicz, Scarlett Jankiewicz, Matthew Rutland, Laura Rutland, Meredith Rutland and 2 great grandchildren.
