Thomas W. Shehane

Thomas Shehane, age 84, resident of Salem, Alabama died peacefully on Friday, April 03, 2026, at East Alabama Medical Center. A Visitation for friends and family will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907, US, on April 11, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service in the Fisher Chapel at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Dr. Jarrod Horne and Reverend Bud Passmore officiating. A Committal Service will take place at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907, US following the chapel service.

Mr. Shehane was born August 25, 1941, in Geneva County, Alabama. He was retired after having worked many years in the textile industry and as a forklift mechanic. Mr. Shehane was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Salem, Alabama. He was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mildred and Rome Shehane and his beloved wife Patsy Shehane.

He is survived by his daughters, Tena Moore (Roger), Debbie Motycka (Michael), and Glenda Lee (Philip); Sister, Glenda Gail Landis (David), Five Grandchildren, Jennifer Deal (Jonah), Christopher Moore (Jennifer), Gregg Moore, Jason Motycka (Brittany) and Tyler Lee; Six great-grandchildren, Kendal, Kaylee, Cayden, Dallas, Layla, and Thomas; and many other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to concord Baptist Church, Salem, Alabama.
