Vicky Lynn Waters, 55, of Columbus, GA died Sunday, December 30, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2019 at Riverdale Cemetery, with Rev. Patricia Wilkinson officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
Ms. Waters was born March 29, 1963 in Columbus, GA, the daughter of the late Dan Walls and Alice Diane Drawdy. She was a graduate of Jordan High School. She was a homemaker by trait which in one of the most honorable and most selfless jobs anyone can have. She meet the love of her life David back in the early 90’s and they spent twenty three cherished years together. Ms. Waters was a loving and compassionate lady and was the advisor of the family. She enjoyed reading, cooking and watching television especially westerns. Vicky was most proud of being a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her Spouse, David Morey; two children, Brandy Headley and Adam Headley; eleven grandchildren, one great grandchild, one sister, Carla Thomas (Timothy); three step children, two nieces Melanie Scarborough and Heaven Thomas; two nephews, Aaron and Joshua Scarborough.
Arrangements are being entrusted to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd., Columbus, GA 31907.
