William “Billy” Green

Billy was born January 22, 1953, in Columbus, GA, son of the late James and Floyce Green. He was a local pipe fitter and retired after many years of service. Billy was an avid Elvis fan and was known to sound like him when he would sing. He loved the Atlanta Braves, fishing, taking cruises, and his family. Although quiet and most of the time in the background, Billy still loved to tell people about Jesus.

Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Becky Green; his son, Jimmy Green and his wife, Kristi; his daughter, Amanda Goolsby and her husband, Kelly; his grandchildren, Rylee Green, Jaden Green (Jessy Brazel), Kason Goolsby (Lauren Price), Kade Goolsby, Keaton Goolsby, Korbin Goolsby.

A Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Wildwood Room, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Ga 31907.
