William "Bill" van Rensburg

A celebration of his life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2015 at St. Mark United Methodist Church, 6795 Whitesville Rd. Columbus, GA 31904 with Reverend Scott Tucker officiating according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA. Following the service the family would like to invite their guests to join them at their home for a time of remembrance and fellowship.

Bill was born in Bloemfontein, South Africa on June 22, 1958 to Lionel van Rensburg and the late Francis Petronella Nel van Rensburg. He was employed By Webb Construction Company as an Estimator. Bill loved spending time with his family on the lake, the golf course, or at a campground. He saw a chance for every and any project around the house and was always quick with a joke or a story.

Survivors include his wife Amelia van Rensburg, two children, Karla van Rensburg and Carl van Rensburg, father, Lionel van Rensburg, sisters, Moonee Ott and Nellie Holz, brothers, Charles van Rensburg and Lionel van Rensburg.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Amedysis Home Health, Webb Construction and Columbus Hospice for their love and support.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mark united Methodist Church.
