Yvonne Miller Herring

Mrs. Yvonne Miller Herring, 71, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2011. Funeral services will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus on Friday, May 27, 2011 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM.

Mrs. Herring was born on May 29, 1939 in Ozark, AL to the late Lewis Miller and Vera Parker Miller. She was a very caring and giving person. Mrs. Herring was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gene Herring and a brother, Mickey Miller.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jody and Ann Herring of Columbus; a daughter, Brandi Herring Savage of Columbus; four grandchildren, Ashley Herring, Tatum Herring, Presley Jade Herring and Dylan Savage; two great-grandchildren, Layla Dupass and Dominic Dupass; a sister, Faye Faulkner of Columbus; a brother, Howard Miller of Columbus as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
