Betty Jane Hill

Betty was born December 10, 1937, in Columbus, the daughter of Hugh and Margaret Ellen Tungate Blair. She was the widow of Robert L. Hill.

She loved her family and had a great love for her grandchildren. She was an avid bingo player and supported many organizations that helped needy persons.

She is survived by daughters, Teresa Petro of Columbus and Rita (Randy) Brodfuehrer of Columbus; grandchildren, Megan (Daniel) Lopez-Patton of Ecuador, Jeremy (Clara) Rudicel of Indianapolis, Rikka (Matt) Booth of Columbus, Deena Patton of Greenfield, Jason Rudicel of California, Rachael Brodfuehrer of Columbus, and Raven (Aaron) Gill of Columbus; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Rick L. Patton; three brothers; and one sister.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street with the Rev. Terry Branum officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
