Carol Sue Shatto Roberts

Carol was born in Columbus on January 24, 1941, the daughter of Arthur W. and Mamie Marie Heitz Shatto. She was a graduate of Columbus North High School, retired from Cummins Engine Company in 2002, was a member of the Diesel Workers Union and attended Columbus Baptist Church. Carol enjoyed traveling, tour busing and flower gardening.

Survivors include her husband, Nelson, whom she married September 5, 1964 at New Hope Christian Church; daughter, Kim (Mark) Matney, Sadieville, Tennessee; brothers, Raymond (Anita) Shatto and Jerry (Nancy) Shatto, all of Taylorsville’s; sisters, Diana (Ron) Turner, Ft. Myers, Florida and Tina (Eddie) Cline, Gray, Tennessee; granddaughter, Kelli (Jeremy) Smith, Columbus. Carol was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Teresa Roberts.

There will be a private family gathering with private interment to follow in Garland Brook Cemetery on Friday with Pastor Tom Collett presiding.
