Catherine Ann "Cathy" Hauther

Catherine Ann “Cathy” Clarke Hauther, 62, of Columbus died 5:34 p.m. Sunday, February 18, 2018, at Decatur County Memorial Hospital. Cathy was born in Arlington, Virginia January 25, 1956 the daughter of the late Vernon L. Clarke and Frances A. Novick Anderson of Columbus. She was a former Civil Service employee of the U.S. Navy, working as a Procurement Analyst. She was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. She loved to cook, was an avid reader, enjoyed working word search puzzles, gardening and loved animals. She is survived by her mother, Frances Ann Anderson of Columbus; daughters, Christine Ann Hauther of Nashville, TN and Kathleen Ann Hauther of Knoxville, TN; sister, Patricia Ann (Serge) Ducharme of Hartsville, IN; brother, Michael Alan (Virginia) Clarke of Alexandria, VA. She was preceded in death by fathers, Vernon Clarke and Manford “Andy” Anderson. In keeping with Cathy’s wishes following a private family viewing she will be cremated. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church with Father James Brockmeier officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to service time. Inurnment will be at a later date in the family plot in St. Mary’s Cemetery Wilkes-Barre, PA.
