David Dave D. Thomas

Mr. Thomas was born on September 20, 1969 in Greensburg, IN., the son of the late William O. Thomas, Sr. and Jessie Frances “Cookie” Eggenspiller Thomas.

He was married to Margaret P. Newland.

Mr. Thomas was a self employed concrete finisher.

Mr. Thomas was a member of the Seventh Street Church of God.

He raced demolition derby cars for J.R. Rouse and thoroughly enjoyed his involvement in demolition derbies.

The funeral service celebrating the life of Mr. Thomas will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at the Seventh Street Church of God with the Rev. Jerry W. Ballard officiating.

Calling hours will be at the church from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday and from 9:00 AM until the time of the service on Saturday.

Burial will be in the Garland Brook Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Myers-Reed Chapel.

Mr. Thomas is survived by his companion, Deanna Ammerman of Columbus, IN.; three sons, Nicholas and Jimmy Thomas and Blaze McIntosh all of Columbus, IN.; and four brothers, Michael (Katie) Thomas, Randy (Denise) Thomas and Timothy (Rebecca) Thomas all of Columbus, IN. and William O. (Shannon) Thomas, Jr. of Paducah, KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
