He was born in Columbus June 25, 1951, the son of Denzil and Daisy Giddings Burris. He married Diane S. Neal June 24, 1972 at the Elizabethtown Christian Church.
He worked for Arvin Industries, Meritor and Faurecia in the Customer Service Department. He was a member of the Columbus Post of the American Legion. He loved to ride motorcycles, listen to music and make videos of his family.
He is survived by his wife, Diane S. Burris of Columbus; daughter, Tara Burris of Lexington, KY; son; Brody Burris of Columbus; granddaughter, Jena (Joe) Bochicchio of Raleigh, NC.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Myers~Reed Chapel on 25th Street with Rev. Al White officiating. Visitation will be from Noon until service time Friday at the Funeral Home.
