Hubert Dale Johnson

Hubert was born in Columbus August 7, 1948, the son of Virgil and Lilly Wright Johnson. He married Martha A. Boggs September 3, 1970, at Memorial Baptist Church in Columbus.

He worked for Arvin Industries 31 years as a set-up man, retiring in 2000, and was a member of I.B.E.W. at Arvin. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany and loved to take long drives in the country.

He is survived by his wife, Martha A. Johnson; brothers, Virgil Johnson Jr. of Columbus, James (Dorothy) Johnson of Columbus, and Dwight (Mary) Johnson of Franklin; and sisters, Hazel Boggs of Columbus and Pamela Raymonds of Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison with Pastor Rodney Raines officiating and military honors performed by Madison American Legion Post 9. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street.
