

Mrs. Brown was born on October 25, 1921 in Hammond, IN. to the late William A. and Helen Straight Puntney.
She married Farris “Gene” Brown on May 30, 1942 in Columbus, IN. and he survives.
Mrs. Brown was a homemaker.
She graduated from Indiana Soldiers & Sailors Children’s Home Oliver P. Morton High School at Knightstown, IN. Following her graduation she moved to Columbus, IN. to live with her foster mother, Elizabeth Hammond who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Brown was a member of the First Christian Church and the O.N.O. Home Economics Club.
The funeral service celebrating the life of Mrs. Brown will be conducted at 1:30 P.M. on Monday, November 08, 2010 at the Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th St. with the Rev. Richard J. Yeaton officiating.
Calling hours will be from 5:30 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Sunday and from 11:30 A.M. until the time of the service at 1:30 P.M. on Monday.
Entombment will be in the Garland Brook Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Along with her husband of 68 years, Mrs. Brown is survived by three daughters, Janet E. (Mick) Molish and Charlotte L. Brown both of Indianapolis, IN. and Barbara Ann Brown of Columbus, IN.; a sister, Josephine King of Mooresville, IN. and five grandchildren.
Along with her parents and foster mother, Mrs. Brown was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
