If you ever sat down and talked to Mary Ann you would know that she was very passionate about life. Some of the stories of her youth revealed she lived a challenging life but in the end she found her way back to Christ. I recall her walking into church with her mother,Mary. They would always sit it the same pew. She would frequently bring wafer cookies to coffee hour to share with others even though she lived with little necessities for herself. She was constantly thinking about her son's and longed for mending those relationships. She prayed for them and for many others every week, as she always had several pages of prayer request each Sunday at church. Mary Ann, you will be missed, but I know that you are now walking in heaven beside your mom and your heavenly Father.

I remember how faithfully Mary Ann attended both church and Hot Meals at FUMC. She always had such a kind and sharing spirit, and was eager to help others when should could. She will truly be missed!

Many would look at Mary Ann and think she had nothing to share. But she was always leaving treats for us to share at church or hot meals and would also donate cash bills whenever there was an appeal. Most importantly, she shared her love of Jesus at all times! There is no question that she is enjoying a heavenly life which is nothing like hers on earth!

Mary always appreciated the older, well-known hymns at church. She liked to hum along with them. Now she's singing with the Saints. Rest well, Mary.

Mary Ann was always a friendly face at First UMC. We were blessed to have known her and have her as part of our community.
