Patricia Mary Bain Truelove

Patricia Mary Truelove, 77, of Columbus, died Friday, December 5th at Kindred Hospital, Greenwood. Born May 28th, 1937 in London, England she was the daughter of William and Mary Bain. She is survived by her sister, Maureen Bain, of London, England and her children, Peter Truelove (Cloe Vincent) of Falls Church, Virginia, Carol Kostrzewsky (Greg) of Columbus, Graham Truelove (Catherine Shaw) of Richmond, Virginia and eight grandchildren, Anna, William and Weston Kostrzewsky, Julia, Henry, James, Ian and Ava Truelove, and her former husband, Alan Truelove.

She received nurse’s training at University College Hospital in London and later worked as an Administrative Assistant for Computer Sciences Corporation in Virginia.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren, teaching them all to read in turn. She enjoyed knitting, crossword puzzles in ink, vacationing in Chincoteague Island, Va. and traveling to her native England to visit family and friends. Loving and generous to the end, she shared her passions for cooking, watching tennis, and drinking proper tea with the new generations, while organizing traditional Sunday English dinners along with gentle reminders about elbows and napkins and forks.

There will be a celebration of Patricia’s life to be held in the coming year.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Myers-Reed Chapel and The Columbus Crematory.
