I am Rose's friend and sister, adopted by choice. We never had our last talk as we planned it for her arrival at home; she was to be released from the hospital. My heart hurts. Thank you Marcia. I didn't know about the caregiver part, but Rose made me aware of your friendship and kindness. Please feel free to reach out to me if I can be helpful. We have a long history, we were college roommates and shared many things over the years. Blessings to you.

Rose and I met at Oakwood College in Huntsville, Alabama and we became friends in Christ to the extent that she influenced me to come to Indianapolis to teach at the SDA church school there. At that time, she gave me a grand tour of Indianapolis and a friend's wisdom on how to navigate in church and real-life society. I have very fond and many memories of her as we were involved in many activities together at that time. My condolences to her special friend/caregiver, her friends and Church families in Columbus, Indiana. I will always remember her loving and caring spirit as she rests in peace.

I can recall Rose as being one of the longest Principal and Teacher at Gary Mizpah 7th-day Adventist Church.
I can recall the many student lives impacted by her.
I can recall her marriage to Mr Hare.
"When we all get to heaven," what a great day that will be.

I feel and share the grief of all Rose Campbell's family, friends and those who were brushed by her light. I met Rose a few years ago when a friend asked me to adopt her two cats. At our meeting I found her wheeping at the possibility of surrendering them to just anyone so I shared photos of my home and my cats to help her cope. We agreed to "joint custody" of Tiny Tim and Queen Macy. Our friendship grew and I pitched in to help her, drive her, shop with her and do whatever she needed. Her health began to decline about 3 months ago. We were two old souls trying to figure out how to act our ages!! I learned much from Rose and will always be grateful. I know we will "...Pick up where we left off when we all meet again."

Miss Campbell was my 3rd/4th grade teacher at Mizpah SDA School in Gary, Indiana some 45+ years ago. For several years I did not have contact with her. Facebook brought us back together. She followed my journey personally and professionally. She encouraged and supported all of my endeavors. She was proud of me and my accomplishments and prayed for me when I needed divine intervention. I will truly miss my elementary teacher who instilled in me the desire to work with children. Sleep well Miss Campbell...see you in the morning...

I met Rose back in the early 70’s. She and her mother came to Mizpah SDA church to be teachers at our school. She quickly became a beloved sister in Christ to us all. Her students loved her because she was kind yet firm. The adult members loved her because she always had a wonderful welcoming presence. She laughed often and had you laughing as well. One outstanding gift God blessed her with was the gift of singing. She used it very well to His glory. She sang at my wedding as well at many Sabbath services. A small group of us spent quite a few hours together fellowshipping while she lived in Gary, IN. When she moved, I lost track. I was glad to reconnect a couple of years ago thru Facebook and eventually exchange phone numbers and talk to her again. I will miss you, my sister and will look forward to seeing you again when Christ comes to take us home. Until then, Rest In Peace. Love you.
