Sandra was born in Evansville, Indiana November 15, 1941, the daughter of Charles C. and Elizabeth Fryer Stone. She married Tommy L. Boyd in Evansville October 26, 1963; he preceded her in death July 28, 2001.
She was a driver for Just Friends and a volunteer for Love Chapel. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Columbus, Alliance for the Mentally Ill, Prison Fellowship and McDowell Adult Literacy. She loved crossword puzzles and playing Scrabble.
She is survived by her daughter, Rachel E. Hodnett of Columbus; grandchildren, Hanna Boyd and Dani (Jacob) Laine both of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by parents; husband; son, Mason Boyd; one sister; two brothers; half-brother.
A funeral service will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Hathaway~Myers Chapel on Pearl Street with Pastor Patrick Galligar officiating. Visitation will be 4~8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to service time Tuesday. Burial will be in Otter Creek Cemetery Nebraska, Indiana.
