Born July 18, 1960, Terry was the daughter of Lawrence and Margaret (Vriesacker) Laramee, who preceded her in death. She pursued her education with determination, earning her Master’s degree in Accounting and Human Resources, and went on to build a successful career, retiring as the Human Resources Manager for the University of Pittsburgh.
Terry embraced life in ways both simple and spirited. She enjoyed relaxing with her favorite television programs, especially crime stories, trying her luck at the casino, and traveling, with a special fondness for the Caribbean. She also took great pride in her red Camaro, which perfectly matched her vibrant personality. Above all, Terry cherished her family. She adored her grandchildren and treasured every moment spent with them, creating memories that will be held close for years to come.
She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Michael Maier of Columbus; her sons, Jason (Synthia) Maier of Sellersburg and Jake (Joelia) Maier of Franklin; her sister, Tina (John) McCabe of Ayr, Ontario, Canada; her brother, Michael Laramee; and her beloved grandchildren, Sydney and Logan Maier, December and London Fetz, Athena Maier, and Stefanie and Carlos Martinez. Also surviving are her sisters-in-law, Angela (Mike) Clayton, Veronica (Bernie) Zimmer, and Marlene Maier.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to health care workers, specifically the ICU staff and doctors at Columbus Regional Hospital, for the care she received.
A celebration of Terry’s life will be announced at a later date.
Terry will be remembered for her warmth, her strength, and the deep love she gave so freely to those around her.
