

Thomas C. “Tom” Duncan, Jr., 35 of Red Cedar Ct., Columbus, IN. died at 9:30 P.M. on Thursday, August 26, 2010 as the result of a motorcycle accident at the intersection of North National Rd. and Long Rd. in Columbus, IN.
Mr. Duncan was born in Independence, MO. on December 15, 1974, the son of the late Thomas C. Duncan, Sr. and Linda Sue Skinner Duncan of Parker, AZ.
He married Ava Jacobs on June 18, 1994 in Columbus, IN. and she survives.
Mr. Duncan was a 1993 graduate of Columbus North High School.
He was a sheet metal worker for HRC Roofing & Sheet Metal in Columbus, IN. and he was a member of the sheet metal worker’s union local #20.
Tom was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan, a Star Wars enthusiast and he was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed playing and coaching football, softball, volleyball, dodge ball, kickball, and bowling. He was also a bicyclist. He was a softball umpire and he was in his first year as the head football coach of the PAAL senior league Falcons Football Team.
The funeral service celebrating Tom’s life will be conducted at 7:30 P.M. on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at Myers-Reed Chapel at 3729-25th St., Columbus, IN. 47203 with Roger Callahan officiating.
Calling hours will be from 4:00 P.M. until the time of the service at 7:30 P.M. on Tuesday.
Entombment will be in the Garland Brook Seasons Mausoleum in Columbus, IN. with a private committal service on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made through the funeral home to his daughter, Ashley Duncan’s Trust Fund.

Along with his mother and wife of 16 years, Tom is also survived by his daughter, Ashley Renée Duncan at home; a brother, Michael Scott Duncan of Columbus, IN.; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Sharon and Ron Jacobs of Columbus, IN.; a brother-in-law, Kip (Kim) Jacobs of Red Bay, AL.; and three nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father on May 18, 2003.
