Abigail Marie Myers

Abigail Marie Myers, age 22, was surrounded by loving family members as she left her earthly body to be whole with Christ on May 16th, 2018. Abbey was born October 16, 1995 in Davenport, Iowa and moved to Ohio in 1996 to be close to family and medical specialists at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Although her life was shattered by her congenital disability, she taught her parents and many who loved her all about unconditional love. She fought a long battle and touched many lives. Abbey is survived by her loving family: father Dr. Rusty L. Myers and his wife Jill along with brother Ryan; mother Lori A. Vernikoff and her husband Oleg along with sister Ellie; grandparents Dr. Edward and Nancy Straub; Russell Myers; aunts and uncles: Amy (Keith) Merritt, David (Rita) Straub, Lori (Gary) Riffee; cousins, Morgan and Norah Merritt, Reagan and Olivia Straub, Jacob and Jeff Riffee and extended family. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Joy Myers. Family will welcome friends 6-8pm Monday, May 21, 2018 at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230 where services will be held at 10am Tuesday; interment to follow at Zanesville Memorial Park. Abbey's family would like to thank all those who cared for her over the years, including those at the Heinzerling Foundation and Nationwide Children's Hospital.
