

Adrian Joseph (Joe) Balzano passed away peacefully following a decline in health on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at New Albany Otterbein Senior Life Neighborhood after being surrounded by his family for the day. Born in Chicago Heights, Illinois on December 28, 1934 to Eliseo and Ida (Ranieri) Balzano. He graduated from Columbus North High School and joined the Army where he served honorably. He went on to work as a meatcutter for the Kroger Co. for 47 years. He loved playing cards, eating chocolate and most of all his family. Preceded in death by his parents, sister Anna Colby and brother, Robert Balzano. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Antoinette (Schneider) Balzano, his children Jeff (Kim) Balzano, Tony (Dione) Balzano, Mario (Cynthia) Balzano, and Julie (Jeff) Stevens; grandchildren Kaylea (Greg) Yahle, Jared (Sara) Balzano, Mia, Isabella and Anna Balzano, Vincent Balzano, Alana (Nick) Gentile, Paleeza (Matt) Thomas, Brittany and Caleb Stevens; great-grandchildren Jacob, Carsten and Naomi Balzano and Magnolia Thomas; sister Norma (Hayden) Chapman, brother Eliseo Jr. (Pam) Balzano and sister-in-law Kimber Balzano, many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Arrangements handled by Schoedinger Northeast Chapel in Gahanna. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be immediate family by invitation only.
