Albert "Al" R Bunk

Albert “ Al” R. Bunk, age 96, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2026. Albert was born September 7, 1929 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Albert and Martha Bunk. He is survived by dear friend, Sandy Coe, nephews; Jeff (Debbie) Wagner, and James Wagner, nieces; Lori (Mike) Soriano, Amy (Tony) Shelton, and Kathy (Andy) Butler, sister-in-law, Sally Bunk, numerous, cousins, and great nieces and nephews, along with many other dear family and friends. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Jean Bunk, brother, Lester William Bunk and nephew, Thomas Wagner.

Al was a man of deep faith and a devoted member of Bethany Lutheran Church for many years, where he also served faithfully as a Sunday school teacher. He enjoyed a successful career as a chemical engineer at Battelle Labs in Columbus, Ohio. In his free time, Al was an avid stamp collector and built an impressive collection over the years. He also enjoyed watching sports, playing board games and spending time relaxing with those he loved. Al was a bright presence in the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, from 10AM-11AM, at SCHOEDINGER EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5360 E. Livingston Ave, with a funeral service to follow at 11AM, and burial at Union Cemetery. Please share condolences or memories with Al’s family.
