Albert V. Kessler

Albert Vincent Kessler, age 91, passed away at Mayfair Village Retirement Center on February 1, 2025, under the loving care of Suncrest Hospice. He was born on July 3, 1933, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Paul and Elizabeth (Slater) Kessler.

Al was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years Jeanie Marie (Eichner) in 2021. They were joined in holy matrimony on May 25, 1963, at St. Pius X Catholic Church. He is survived by their children: Ann (Ben) Shows, Brenda (Kurt) Mortensen, Gregory and Keith (Jill); grandchildren Mary Ann (Evie Hughes) Shows, Ariel Shows, Kaelan Mortensen, Hanna (Ben) Webber, and Rylan Mortensen; his brothers and sisters Mary Ellen Tisdale, Phillip (V. Jean), Kenneth (Jody), Michael (Sharon), Thomas, Catherine Frazier, Clotilda (James, deceased) Rennard, and Daniel; sister-in-law Ruth Marble; and many nieces and nephews.

He also joins his siblings Mabel (Bernard) Schneider and Mary Louise Kessler.

Al was a devoted husband, father, grandpa, and brother. He and his family were founding members of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, having been parishioners since 1968. Al enjoyed reading, music, watching late night tv, camping, and being a handy man around the house. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. He retired after 32 years at AT&T & Lucent Technologies (originally Western Electric) as an engineering associate.

His family will receive friends from 5-7pm, Thursday, February 6, 2025, ADVANTAGE By SCHOEDINGER NORTH. 5554 Karl Road. Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30am, Friday, February 7, 2025, at St. Brendan Catholic Church, 4475 Dublin Road, Hilliard, OH 43026. Father Charles Cotton, Celebrant. Guests are invited to join the Kessler family for food and fellowship following Mass.

A private interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery with his family present, at a later date.
