

Alberto Monjarro, 85, previously of Chicago, Illinois passed away June 7, 2016 in Columbus, Ohio. Alberto was born December 15, 1930 in Mexico to Alberto and Refugia (Avila) Mojarro. As a young man he came to the United States and began working as a butcher in the Chicago stockyards area. He then worked as an ironworker operating blast iron furnaces. He and his wife, Elizabeth, were faithful members of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and tried to attend Mass daily. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Carlos and sister Pepita . He is survived by his wife Elizabeth; sons Al (Denise) and Antonio (Victoria); grandchildren, Jason, Nathan, Antonio Jr., Sandra, Fidel, Amanda and Joseph; sisters, Lucy Mojarro and Blanca Banuelos; extended family and friends. Family will welcome friends 3-5pm Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230. Mass of Christian Burial 12pm Monday, June 13, 2016 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 2777 Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH 43209 with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens; Fr.
