Alene N. Koon, age 95, went to be with her Lord on November 13, 2014. She was born in Scottsville, KY on April 25, 1919, the daughter of Eva Lena (Rippy) and John Bunyan Napier. She was a children’s librarian, having retired from the Reynoldsburg Public Library. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by husband Samuel W. Koon. Alene is survived by her children Linda Koon (Tom) Ewers, Margaret Elizabeth Koon and Samuel D. (Sharon) Koon, grandchildren John (Rachel) Koon, Mary (Matt) Read, Sarah Koon, James (Katherine) Koon, and Todd Ewers, and great grandsons Caleb and Samuel Read and Tate Ewers. Friends may call Sunday November 23 from 1:00-2:00 and 3:00–4:30 at Jersey Baptist Church, 13260 Morse Road, where a memorial service will begin at 2:00. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests you do something to honor your own mother.
