Freda was born in Newark, Ohio on June 25, 1952 to the late Ernest and Mary Frances (Allen) Harris. She went to be with the Lord on December 3, 2010 at the Ohio State Medical Center in Columbus.
Freda was a devoted member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, where she sang in the women’s choir. She enthusiastically participated in her grandchildren’s sporting events, in church activities, cooking, flower gardening and baking. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and will be missed by all that knew her.
Survivors include her loving daughter, Patrice Harris of Heath; grandchildren, Janee Harris, Andreya McCoy, Adryn McCoy and Treyton McCoy; brother, Fondy (Geraldine) Carter; sisters, Janet Feldner, Linda (John) Mitchell and Sharon Davis; close friends, Andrew McCoy, Mary Ann Haile and Delores Foster; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Britten in 2008; sisters, Vera Mae Clay, Annie Carol Henderson; and two brothers, John and Charles Harris.
