Alice V. Collins

Alice Virlee (Cook) Collins age 91. Born September 24, 1923 passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015. Alice was born to William R. and Hazel F. Cook, in Orrville, Ohio. Alice married her beloved husband Ralph E. Collins on January 19, 1945 in Columbus and was a long time member of Avondale United Methodist Church where she was active in the Women's Club. Alice took great pride in raising her three boys. She enjoyed cooking family dinners and hosting friends for dinner. Alice never met a stranger and was the life of any gathering. She will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by husband Ralph E. Collins, son Dennis J. Collins, brothers Ralph D. Cook, Fredrick Cook (Infant), and Virgil M. Cook. Survived by sons Daniel L. Collins (Judith), Thomas D. Collins (Deborah), daughter-in-law Cathy Collins, grandchildren, Steven T. Collins, Amy D. Mullins (Keith), Jessica M. Collins, Bryan D. Collins, Ashley C. Collins, great-grand daughter Britney A. Collins, great-grand sons, Tristan K. Mullins, and Aidan T. Mullins. Many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Monday, January 19, 2015 at the SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio where funeral service will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday.
