Alma Hazel Williams, age 88, of Columbus, passed away March 24, 2013 at Westminster-Thurber Community. She retired from Big Drum, now Nestle. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roma Ferell Williams; children, Jeanie, Joanie, Phillip, and Melvin; grandchildren, Nikki, Hailey, Becca, and Johnny; parents, George and Heddie “Dink” Salyer; son-in-law, Mark Jones; seven siblings. She is survived by her children, Jimmy, Janice, Dean, Jerell (Angie), Johnny (Beth), Janney, and Dwayne (Kathy); 33 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. She treasured her family and enjoyed the outdoors, often walking for hours at a time. A gathering to celebrate her life will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013, Schoedinger Linden Memorial Chapel, 2741 Cleveland Avenue, where a service will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday; interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
