Ann E. Dawson

Ann E. Dawson, age 82 of Hillsboro passed away Friday, February 10, 2017 in Columbia, S.C. Ann was born in Hillsboro to the late Helen and Oscar Wilson. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Grove City and a current member of the Hillsboro Freewill Baptist Church. She used her green thumb to plan her flower garden and enjoyed working in her garden every year. She also enjoyed home decorating and the outdoors. She loved to do little random acts of kindness for other people. In addition She is preceded in death by her daughter Jacquelin Dawson; son Curtis Dawson; brothers Paul and David Wilson; sister Barbara Waters. Ann is survived by her husband Charles Dawson; children Dixie (Dawson) Click (Steve), Cynthia (Dawson) Minter (Gary), Dianna (Hafer) Dardinger (Bob), Larry (Hafer), Tammy (Hafer) Brown (Mike); beloved step-children Kathleen Carter (Dave), Chuck Dawson (Delores), Christy (Dawson) Anderson (Charlie), Carla (Dawson) Ritchie, Shirley (Dawson) Rogers, Sally (Dawson) Kyper (Gary), Craig Dawson (Jerrica); sisters Martha (Wilson) Sholler and Northa (Wilson) Watkins; brother Glen Wilson; grandchildren Mista, Adam, Joseph, Christopher, Jennifer, Mary, Tiffany, Evan, Gigi, Abby, and Brandon,; several step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 3 year old great grandchild Tucker Dawson who was her sunshine and joy; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service 1 PM Friday, February 17, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Grove City 3301 Orders Rd, Grove City. Dr Jerry Neal officiating. Ann’s family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment to follow at Grove City Cemetery.
