April was born in Licking County on April 14, 1944 to the late Max Elton and Sadie Mary (Burge) Bennett. She died Thursday January 17, 2013 at her home. She was 68.
April was preceded in death by her husband Marion Root, sister Betty Jane Owens and brother Harry Elton Bennett.
She is survived by her sisters Esther Decker, Mary Weltman, Tollie Coble, and Garnett Faye Sellars; brothers Max William Bennett and Lanson Charles Bennett, and numerous loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
Aunt Mac enjoyed being with her extended family, the company of good friends, the music of Elvis Presley and a good cup of coffee. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
