
Anna Mary McIntosh-Strahm, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009. She was born in Newark on June 15, 1918, to the late Allen G. Brown and Laura B. Tatman Brown. She was a member of Thea Court No. 5, Ladies Oriental Shriners of North America, as well as Women of the Moose. Anna is survived by siblings, Florence Bevelhymer, Gloria Bailey, Walter (Alma) Brown, Lola Abernathy, and Helen Brown; step-children, Kenneth (Sue) Strahm, Suzanne Strahm (Leonard) Sadosky, and John (Jayne) Strahm; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lester McIntosh; second husband, Paul D. Strahm, Sr.; and brothers, John W. Brown, Edward L. Brown, and Paul E. Brown. Anna’s family wishes to give special thanks to the staff at Summits Trace, as well as to nurse Sherry Cornelious and the staff at Heartland Hospice for their loving care. Friends may call from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009, at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. A funeral service will begin at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home with Celebrant Andrew Hoover officiating. Interment will follow at Kirkersville Cemetery.
