Born September 9, 1922 in Otsego, Muskingum County, Ohio to Roy and Vada MacDonald, she grew up in a loving family. After her father’s early and untimely passing, her mother remarried Howard Lawrence and they together created another loving wonderful family. Annabel attended and graduated from Otsego High School in eastern Ohio in 1940. She furthered her education at The Ohio State University. Early in her professional career, Annabel was employed by White Castle Corporate Office where she met Emmett C. Daniel and formed many friendships lasting a lifetime. She married her husband, Emmett, in 1950, whom she loved until his passing in 1999.
Annabel’s (or Mauger as she was affectionally called by her grandchildren) death has left an unfillable void in the hearts of her family and loved ones. While we mourn her passing, we choose to celebrate the life that she has had and the impact she has made on so many people during the long life she was blessed to live. She was the true matriarch to her family, showing by example how to love, nurture, and grow the strength of a family. Her innate ability to show support and unconditional adoration will forever be remembered and passed down to those who were blessed to know her. Annabel touched so many lives with her positive outlook and constant compassion for others. We are beyond grateful for the years we were able to spend with her, the grandchildren she was able to watch grow up, and the great grandchildren’s lives she was able to positively impact.
She will forever be remembered in the hearts and minds of her son Larry (Dianne) Daniel and daughter Diane (Chuck Taylor) Daniel; grandchildren: Parker (Katlin) Daniel, Preston (Irisa) Daniel, Mac (Kari Patterson) Taylor, Anna (Anne Dugan) Taylor; great-grandchildren: Blake Daniel, Evabelle and Kingston Daniel, Mara and Miles Taylor, Callan Dugan; and many close friends and extended family.
The family would like to thank the staff at First Community Village for the care and services they provided Annabel. In lieu of flowers, we suggest contributions to Franklin Park Conservatory, a park that Annabel always enjoyed visiting. A Celebration of Life will occur on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 from 4-6 P.M. at Schoedinger Northwest, 1740 Zollinger Rd.
A private family service for immediate family members will be held with interment at Union Cemetery.
