Anne M. Sablo

Anne was born on December 22, 1922 in PA to the late Matt and Amanda (Pavlic) Sablo. At an early age, Anne and her family moved to Canton, OH where she resided until 1957 when she moved to Columbus. She began her art career with the Lazarus as a home interiors and fashion designer. She later taught at the Columbus College of Art and Design. Anne was an accomplished artist having her forte in oil and water color. She was a member of the Bexley Art League, and the Ohio Water Color Society.

As said by her family, she was a devout Christian and had such a caring soul that she went out of her way to help others in need. Throughout her life, whether it was designing, teaching, or attending art shows her talents and heart touched many lives and those lives have been enriched by her. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Anne, along with her parents is preceded in death by her sister Catherine (Nick) Bibich and nephew, Dan Bibich; sister in law Mary Sablo.

Anne’s survivors include her siblings; Charles Sablo and Agnes (Joe)Thomas; nieces and nephews, Helen Bibich, Katherine Bibich, Joselle (Paul) Cox, Charlene Sablo, Dr. Kurt (Marcia) Thomas, John Sablo, and Jill Messmer; great nieces and nephew, Kyle, Kasey, Lexa, and Garrett.

The Family will be receiving friends at the Schoedinger Hilltop Chapel, 3030 W. Broad St. Columbus, OH on Thursday, May 5, 2011 from 4:00pm to 5:00pm. Graveside services will be held on Friday May 6, 2011 at 11:00am at the Forest Hill Cemetery, 4414 Cleveland Ave. NW Canton, OH.
