

Anne Halliday Shaw, age 84, of Columbus, died Saturday, October 24, 2009, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Survived by sons Steve (Jody); Jeff (Joyce); Bill; and Dave (Pam) Shaw; grandchildren Gabe, Megan, Corbin, Alexandra, and Elizabeth; brothers Steve (Betty) and Pete (Janet) Halliday; nieces and nephews. Graduated from the Columbus School for Girls and Denison University. Member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. Member of Broad St. Presbyterian Church where she volunteered in the food pantry and the thrift shop. Former member of Junior League where she was instrumental in founding Bargain Box; volunteer at the Columbus Museum of Art; and former member of Coshocton Town and Country Club, Columbus Country Club, Rocky Fork Hunt Club. She loved golf, tennis, and playing bridge with special friends. Family will receive friends 4-7pm Tuesday, October 27, at the Schoedinger Midtown Chapel, 229 East State St. Funeral service 11am Wednesday, October 28, at Broad St. Presbyterian Church, 760 E. Broad St. Columbus, OH 43215. Rev. Ann Palmerton and Robert Kimes officiating. Interment at Green Lawn Cemetery at a later date.
