

Annette Rush, age 77, born March 6, 1938 in Marion Ohio, went peacefully home to be with her Lord on Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015 at Mt. Carmel West Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. Preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Hazel (Rife) Meister and brother, Gary Meister, of Marion. She was a graduate of Claredon High School. She is survived by Richard W. Rush, her husband for 54 years. They traveled around the world together after retirement. Also survived by her sister, Marjorie Kennell, formerly of Marion and her daughter, Laura Rush, of Grove City. Her husband, sister and daughter all resided with her in Grove City for many years. Annette was employed by the South-Western City School District as a cook for nine years. She was a faithful and active member of St John's Lutheran Church, serving in the Saturday Night Choir, Prayer Warriors, Sunday School, Bible Study Groups, Women's Circle, and served for more than 20 years as a Grove City LifeCare Alliance Meals On Wheels Volunteer Coordinator. She also was active in Take Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS), Vaughn E Hairston YMCA Urbancrest, and with her husband was awarded the Volunteer of the Year Award from the Dept. of Aging. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, two sister in laws, two brother in laws, many cousins, and friends. Annette loved nature, walking in the park with her husband, enjoyed time with friends, her husband and loved her church, family and her faith. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Organ Fund. Memorial service will be 11 am, Saturday, January 9, 2016, St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Grove City, Ohio; calling hours will be held 6-8 pm, Friday, January 8, 2016 at the Schoedinger-Norris Grove City Chapel, Grove City, Ohio, and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
