Anthony Carl Paessun

Anthony "Tony" Paessun was born in Perry County, Ohio to Joseph and Julia Paessun on October 30, 1933. Tony leaves behind his wife of 58 years, Patricia; sons, Michael (Cathy) Paessun and Mark (Jill) Paessun; three granddaughters, Ashley (Matt) Sparks, Chloe (Braden) Vonderau, and Emily Paessun; and great granddaughter, Lily Sparks. Tony was the youngest of ten children and was preceded in death by all his siblings except his brother, Louis (Mary Helen) Paessun of Oakwood, Ohio. After graduating from Corning High School, Tony joined the US Army where he honorably served during the Korean War. After his service, Tony married Pat and they began their family. Tony retired from the Whitehall Fire Department where he had served as a firefighter and paramedic. Tony was a helpful, reliable, and beloved neighbor and friend to many. He will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by his family and friends. Friends and family may call on Sunday, June 28, 2015 from 2:00PM-4:00PM with funeral service following at 4:00PM at the SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 East Livingston Ave, Columbus, Ohio. He will be laid to rest privately at Glen Rest Memorial Estate, Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
