Aprile Lynn Gay

Aprile Lynn Gay, on October 23, 2016, God received a new Angel, as we lost our beloved Aprile. Born August 30, 1953. Aprile was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, and devoted friend. Preceded in death by her mother, Martie Cort; brothers, Donald and Scott Cort; and daughter, Brooke Wilson. Aprile is survived by her husband of 32 years, Kent C. Gay; father, Donald E. Cort; step-mother, Hessie Jones; sister, Wendy (Patrick) Cort-Shay; step-sister, Suzanne (John) Gadrim; grandsons, Bradley (Lyndsay) Wilson and Michael Jones III; great-grandson, Oliver Wilson. Aprile proudly served in the Air National Guard. She was a former business owner of National Telephone Co, and then transitioned into a successful sales career. Aprile had a passionate love for horses, and was a voracious reader. Aprile easily made many friends with her caring and out-going personality. Family will receive friends from 11am-1pm on Saturday October 29, 2016 at the Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. Gahanna, Ohio 43230. A memorial service will be held at 1pm.
