

Arlene Geneva Haney, age 84, of Columbus, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2011 at home surrounded by loved ones. Arlene was a nurse at Doctor’s Hospital for 30 years. She was a lifelong member of St. Matthews until it closed. She was an active member at Emmanuel Lutheran Church until the end. Arlene and Jim (1997) lead very active lives with family and traveling. She enjoyed life to it’s fullest. Her heart swelled with joy over her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her hobbies were gardening, golf, sports, and The Buckeyes. In addition to her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Haney’ brother, Burt Evans; and infant sister, Leah. She is survived by her son, James C. (Gaye) Haney of Marysville; grandson, P. Jason (Kara) Haney; granddaughter, April G. (Kelly) Walsh of Evansville, Indiana and Teresa Rogowski; great grandchildren, Ryan and Griffin Haney, and Brooke Walsh; sisters in-law, Helen Conrad, and Edna Conrad; special friends, Cecia Shipley, and Debbie Boyer; and many nieces and nephews.
