Augusto Abad Santos

He was born August 1, 1937 in Arayat, Pampanga in the Philippines to Mariano and Florentina Santos. Gus graduated from the University of Santo Thomas in 1962 with a Doctorate of Medicine and Surgery. He married Jean Marie Albright on May 18, 1968, and they lived together in Youngstown, Memphis, and Chattanooga, before settling in Gahanna.

Beloved husband of Jean; loving father of Jennifer Rieser, Jason (Shannon) Santos and Joy (Ben) Hess; caring grandfather of James Rieser, Judah Santos, Isabella Rieser, Sabina Rieser, Silas Santos, Gloria Hess, and Lewis Hess.

Dedicated brother of Gloria (Jorge) Pangilinan, Zenaida (Rodolfo) Babaran, Mariano (Merlinda) Santos, Rebecca (Lito) dela Cuadra, Romulo (Dulce) Santos, Teresita (Mario) Cardenas, and Nathaniel (Janette) Santos. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, both in the USA and the Philippines.

Family will receive friends at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio on Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 6-8pm and Friday, June 1, from 1-3pm, where the funeral will be held at 10am on Saturday, June 2 followed by a gravesite burial at Mifflin Cemetery.
