

She was born March 5,1933 in Mansfield, Ohio to the late Louis P. and Nettie Burkley Jisa. Barbara is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Paul Baldridge; their children, Amy (Bob) Wright, Beth (Bill) McDerment, and Mike Baldridge; grandchildren Jessica, Kyle, Sean and Haley; brother Burk Jisa; nieces and nephew Wendy, Jennifer, Matt and Tanya, and many other beloved family members and dear friends.
Barbara attended Mansfield Senior High School and was a graduate of Bowling Green State University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Education. She went on to achieve her Master of Education from Columbia University in New York. She taught health and physical education for four years at Bowling Green High School. On December 19, 1959, she married the love of her life, Paul.
Barb’s greatest joy was her family, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandma. She embraced life and lived every day to its fullest. As a mom, she was always volunteering in her children’s schools and was well known by the staff and students. She adored her grandchildren and enjoyed attending their school and sporting events.
She loved spending summers with family and friends at the Lake House in Huron, and winters with many dear friends, the “Coconuts Clan”, on Anna Maria Island, Florida.
Barb served as a dedicated volunteer in the Burn Unit at Nationwide Children’s Hospital for 37 years. She was an active member of Epworth United Methodist Church, where she loved attending worship and serving her community in countless ways.
In recent years, Barbara waged a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease and Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Her quiet strength and grace throughout was inspiring to all.
A Memorial Service will be held at Epworth United Methodist Church, 5100 Karl Rd, where Barb and Paul have been dedicated members since 1967. S
Service begins at 2:00pm, Saturday, December 18, 2021, and friends will be received from 1:00pm - 2:00pm. Rev. Jennifer Kimball Casto, officiant.
She will be privately interred at Kingwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Nationwide Children’s Hospital, (https://www.nationwidechildrens.org/giving)
