Barbara Ellen Barnes

Barbara Ellen Barnes, age 63 of Dublin, passed away Monday, November 2, 2015. Barbara was born and raised in Columbus, daughter of the late Robert and Virginia (Boss) Meistedt. Barbara graduated from Upper Arlington, Class of 1970 and Bowling Green State University, Class of 1973. She was employed by Ross Laboratories. Barbara was a caring woman who put the needs of others above her own. She was a great fly fisherman, enjoyed traveling extensively, was a Blue Jackets hockey fan, and liked to play mahjong with friends. Because she had such a tremendous love for her family and friends, Barbara will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Brian Barnes; son, Jeffrey Barnes; sister, Janet (Neil) Olson; niece, Stephanie (Aaron) Gash; nephew, Stuart (Monica) Olson; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Friday, November 6, 2015 at Dublin Community Church UCC, 81 W. Bridge St. Rev. Robert Tussing officiating. Family will receive friends from 5-8 P.M.
