Barbara Decker

Barbara L. Decker, age 80, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at Kobacker House. She was born October 31, 1928 in Athens, Ohio to the late Joseph and Gracie (Kirkendall) Noland. Preceded in death by husband, Frank J. Decker; and sister and brother-in-law: Fred and Frances Steinmetz. Barbara is survived by her children: Tim (Mary Lou) Decker of West Virginia, Sandy (Robert) Cave of Texas and Kristie (Joel) Battaglia of Vermont; grandchildren: Jonathan Decker, Elisa and Brian Cave and Peter, Angela and David Battaglia; brother and sister-in-law: Manuel and Edna Glazer; nieces: Wanda Jones and Becky Mays; nephews: Bill Steinmetz and Sonny Steinmetz; several other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, neighbor and friend. She was a talented seamstress who was very generous with gifting her creations to others. A graveside service will be held at 9:30 A.M. on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5600 East Broad Street, Columbus. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday at New Hope Bible Church, 12999 Worthington Road, Pataskala, Ohio 43062.
