

Barbara A. Frautschi, age 89, of Columbus, passed away on March 12, 2022. She was born in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of John and Margery Frautschi. She graduated from DeVilbiss High School in Toledo, and the College of Wooster, in Wooster, Ohio with a BA degree in chemistry.
She was employed by Battelle Memorial Institute in Columbus for 22 years in information analysis and research. In 1974 she received the Technical Woman of the Year from the Columbus Technical Council. She was employed by Sherex Chemical Co. in Dublin for 12 years, where she developed a chemical library. In 1991 she established her own business, Frautschi Information Services, to provide library/information services to consultants, libraries, and companies.
She was a member of Boulevard Presbyterian Church and served on Session. She was responsible for preparing an inventory of the interests and skills of the membership, and managing a church book store. She was active in Boulevard Presbyterian Women, serving as Moderator after retirement. She crocheted hundreds of scrubbies and baby sweaters for missions.
In 1999, she moved to Westminster-Thurber Community (now Ohio Living Westminster-Thurber) and was active as a volunteer as Chair of the Spiritual Life Committee, and President of the Westminster Thurber Resident Association. She organized Presbyterian Women Horizon Bible studies for over 20 years. Thanks to the staff of Ohio Living Westminster-Thurber for many happy years of retirement living. Barbara is survived by cousins and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held 1:00 pm, Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at Ohio Living Westminster-Thurber in their Life Enrichment Center, 717 Neil Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43215. Chaplain Mark Arni and Rev. Charlotte O'Neil will lead. Burial will be in Toledo Memorial Park, in Sylvania, Ohio, with no graveside service. Arrangements handled by SCHOEDINGER MIDTOWN.
