Oh my, I wish I had known.  Only just now found out.  I am heartbroken for the family.  You have my heartfelt prayers and I am so very very sorry.  I loved to talk to Barb and we shared admiration for the hunting dog portrait in the office; I remember the day she told me of its' history, how it was lost and again found to be restored to its' rightful place in the office.  It seems such a short time ago.  God bless you Barb, and God speed.  I know you are helping to prepare a place for those of us who are still here.

I met Barbara at the Work and Family Office at OSU. Barbara (like her daughter Kim) always met you with a smile and a happy "hello".  She was willing to assist and help you in anyway she could.  She always pitched in and worked hard.

P.S. Kim, we just got back into town late last night from vacation.  I will try to make the service.  You were the only person from work who came to my father's funeral in 1994 and I always appreciated that.

One of my favorite memories of Barb is that she was one of the few people I knew who regularly had garage sales.  When I was little, I thought it was exciting to see everything displayed and when I picked out something to buy, she or her children would usually say, "Just take it." We also loved having a special place, the McKee's front lawn, to watch the Upper Arlington 4th of July parade.  You offered gracious hospitality to all.
Virgil, Kim & Mike--you have been in our thoughts and prayers as you stood by Barb, courageously fighting for her life.  May the Lord hold you close today as you celebrate her life with those who loved her and may His presence and promises comfort you in the days ahead.

my big sister whom I loved very much she was not only my sister and also my best friend she was always there when I needed some one to talk too, We were a close family always there for one another I was with her the last 6 days we had great time and talk She always called our mother every night untill she went to the Lords call And then she started calling me to see if I was ok and how things were going Giving me good advice about things And talked about dogs especialy Molly our mother dog which Barbara took over when Mother passed on Molly would not leave Barbara side, she was always at her side I remenber her compassion for other people    Her sister Donna K Gaither

I remember the first tiime  I met  Barbara It was at her mothers house in 1995 I notice she was wearing a blouse with martime logos on it sail boats ,anchors ,signals flags  and more I was there to pick up her sister fo go on a date Donna K She would become my wife two yrs latter Barbara was a very nice person we will all miss her  JOHN GAITHER
