Barbara Link Ross

On February 16, 2013, Barbara Link Ross went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Surrounded by family, she died peacefully at Kobacker House. Born March 25, 1925 to Alex and Lydia Link, she graduated from Columbus South High School in 1942. Her loving husband of 64 years, Glenn Paul Ross, and son, Kenneth Paul Ross, preceded her in death. A devoted mother, she is survived by her children, Judith Blum, Randall (Gail Mezey) Ross and Ronald Ross; daughter-in-law Dushka Crane and son-in-law John Garlick; her beloved grandchildren, Christian Stanek, Laurel (Chad) Brennan, Emma Audrey, Miranda and Katherine Ross; and great-grandchildren Kyle, Aliya, Anya and Milena. A woman of deep faith, she was a member of Advent Lutheran Church, where she once worked as church secretary. An avid decorator, seamstress, cook, entertainer, and wonderful homemaker, her family will always cherish the weekly Sunday dinners when family would gather for delicious food, fellowship, and laughter. Barbara devoted her life to faith in God and family. A memorial service will be held at Advent Lutheran Church, 3660 Kenny Road, Columbus, Ohio 43220 on Sunday February 24 at 2:00pm. Pastor William Saunders officiating. Family will greet guests beginning one hour prior to the service. A private family interment will follow at a later date. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Schoedinger Northwest Chapel.
