Barbara Wears

Barbara A. Wears age, 69 passed away at Kobacker House on Thursday, July 17, 2014. Barbara worked at Riverside Methodist Hospital as a nurse for 39 years where she continued volunteering for many more. She was also a member of St. Elizabeth Parish. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Marge Mitchell. She is survived by her loving husband, Gerald of 46 years; daughters, Diane (Sean) Caulkins and Kristen (Bill) Hayes, grandchildren, Stephanie, Patrick (Ali), Maggie, Tyler, Victoria and Walker; siblings, Karen (Fred) Mahle, Dennis (Marya) Mitchell, Patty (Kirk) Smith, Kathy (Steve) Wellman, Kevin (Robin) Mitchell, Maureen (Don) Howe; numerous nieces & nephews. Family will receive friends at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL 6699 N. High St. Monday, July 21 from 5 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 6077 Sharon Woods Blvd. Father Charles E. Cotton celebrating. In honor of Barbara, a woman who’s light shined bright, please wear bright beautiful colors to the funeral home and church. A private family interment will be at Resurrection cemetery at a later date.
