

Belle Morris Boles died peacefully on May 5, 2016. She was born June 22, 1922, in Columbus, Georgia, a daughter of William Stewart Morris and Belle Dudley Morris. Belle was a graduate of Stephen's College, a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church and an enthusiastic community volunteer. She was particularly active in the Canterbury Unit of the Women's Association of the Columbus Symphony, the Women's Guild of Opera Columbus, and the Franklin Garden Club. Belle enjoyed skiing, golfing, gardening and winning almost every croquet game she ever played. She loved visiting with her children and extended family and particularly looked forward to the family's annual vacation at Glen Lake in Michigan. Belle is survived by her four children, Katherine Smith (Alton) of Maple City, MI, Robert Boles (T) of Maple City, MI, Janice Boles (Jim Harrington) of Westfield, NJ, and Stephen Boles of Columbus, OH. Also surviving are her sister, Dorothy Cheves from Columbus, GA, her granddaughter, Carolyn Cabot (Rick) of Maple City, MI, her former husband, Dr. Thomas Boles of Columbus, OH, and many nieces and nephews. Her grandson, Mark Smith predeceased her. The family wishes particularly to thank Belle's long-time aide, Julie Tucker for her loving support and care. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, May 19, from 6 - 8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL located at 1740 Zollinger Rd., Upper Arlington, OH. The funeral will be Friday, May 20, at 4:00 p.m. at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 2151 Dorset Rd., Upper Arlington, OH 43221.
