

Bernadine Mae Jaynes Cutler, age 84, of Lewis Center, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 3rd, 2017. She was born on April 22, 1932 in Galena, Ohio, to Carrie Freeman Jaynes and Horace Jaynes. Bernadine was the youngest of eleven children and graduated from Berlin High School, class of 1950, where she served as a Berlin Bears' cheerleader and was a member of the homecoming court and National Honor Society.
During her senior year of high school, she met the love of her life, Donald W. Cutler (graduate of Orange High School). Donald and Bernadine were united in marriage in 1951 and enjoyed 59 years of marriage together. During their many years together, they raised a family of five children Mark (Cynthia) Cutler of Powell, Jerald (Kathy) Cutler of Powell, Lynn Cutler Wypasek (daughter) of Galena, Jeffrey (Denise) Cutler of Delaware, and Edward (Linda Stover) Cutler of Sunbury. Bernadine was blessed with nine loving grandchildren: Nicolette (Jason) Stark of Columbus, Justin (Heather) Cutler of Centerburg, Jessica (Christian) Saunders of Hilliard, Kaitlin Cutler of Brooklyn, NY, Alison (Mark) Echelberry of Lewis Center, Courtney Wypasek of Galena, Jenica (Alston) Williamson of Dallas, TX, Samantha (Michael) Franklin of Dallas, TX and Samuel Cutler of Lewis Center. Bernadine is also survived by one of eleven siblings, Alice Jaynes Moseley of Ostrander. She was proceeded .in death by husband, Captain Donald W. Cutler.
Bernadine retired from JP Morgan Chase where she served as a teller for over twenty years. Donald and Bernadine enjoyed a fulfilling retirement, traveling to all fifty states of the U.S. and vacationing in the Western mountains. They particularly enjoyed following their children and grandchildren at Olentangy Schools sporting events. They were strong supporters of the Olentangy Local School District, in both athletic and academic programs.
Bernadine greatest accomplishment was loving her husband, raising her children, and enjoying her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed meeting people and had many friends. Bernadine was loved by all who knew her.
The funeral service will be held at 10am Friday, January 6, 2017 at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High Street, Worthington, Ohio. Pastor David Mabry of Orange Friends Church will officiate the ceremony with Pastor Tom Keene of Peachblow United Methodist Church in Lewis Center, Ohio. Visiting hours will be at the funeral home on Thursday, January 5, 2017, from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Burial will follow the funeral at the Berlin Township- Cheshire Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society by going to www.cancer.org.
